Delivery Information

Note:
As the cases of COVID-19 have spiked again throughout the world, to limit contact when delivering orders, carriers will be maintaining 'default contactless delivery methods'. This means all deliveries (unless deemed unsafe to do so) will automatically default to authority to leave (ATL) where possible and drivers will not be requesting a physical signature from the customer/receiver. BNA Model World will not be held responsible for any parcel that is left at a premises once delivered.



Processing Time

Orders placed (with payment received) before 2:00pm Australia-Melbourne time (AEST/AEDT) on business days (Monday to Friday except public holidays) will be processed and shipped on the SAME DAY. Other orders will be shipped on the very next business day. We will notify you when your order has been dispatched.


About Pre-Orders

If an order contains any pre-order products that have not arrived in stock yet, it will stay in the preorder status until all products are ready for shipping. If you require all in-stock products to be shipped first, please feel free to contact us and we will split the order for you. However, it may incur an additional shipping cost but we will keep it minimal for you.


Shipping Cost

Delivery charges vary depending on the size and weight of your order and your chosen delivery address.

You can check shipping cost of each single item in “Shipping Estimator” tab on the product page. However, please be aware that we combine shipping cost as much as we can when you purchase more than one product. Therefore, to get an accurate delivery quote, please place all the items you wish to order in your shopping cart and then proceed to the Shopping Cart page. There is an ‘Estimate Shipping’ tab under your selected products, where you can get the quotes with all possible shipping methods by simply entering your poscode and selecting the delivery country. Alternatively, you can go straight to the checkout process and all the correct available shipping methods and costs will show up after you confirm your delivery address.

Although Australia Post claims to guarantee next business day delivery for areas within their Express Post Delivery Network, they do fail to deliver on time occasionally. Unfortunately we no longer take any responsibility of such cases because Australia Post has constantly refused to compensate for such failures even though they advise the receiver to contact the sender to lodge a claim which however they never respond to.

Shipping Options and Conditions:

  • A signature is required to receive all deliveries (except by Regular Post) unless Authority to Leave (ATL) has been provided. Although we do not recommend leaving orders unattended when not home to accept delivery, you may request this service with any delivery. You may do this by placing a short note, such as; 'Please leave at the front door if not home', in the order comments section found on our checkout page. Please note, by choosing to provide the carrier with ATL, or by selecting 'Safe Drop', we will NOT be able to offer any further assistance if your order is lost or subsequently goes missing after it has been deemed delivered by the carrier. The associated risk in leaving parcels unattended is borne by the customer.

  • If your order contains one or more extra-large items which are over 105cm in length (e.g., some 1/200 battleship model kits) and your delivery address is in a remote area, we may have to contact you to pay an extra shipping cost. This is when neither Australia Post nor Fastway Courier can handle the shipment and we have to use a special courier service to deliver. However, please be assured that we always cover over 50% of such extra cost and only charge you the amount as minimal as possible. Please note this condition also applies to Free Shipping orders.

  • Orders by Free Shipping method will be shipped via a carrier of our choosing, currently either Australia Post or Fastway Courier, and can only be extended to areas reachable through these carriers which may exclude extremely remote locations. If you are unsure about your location you may contact us prior to ordering. We reserve the right to cancel orders that cannot be delivered at reasonable cost.

We are not responsible for duty and customs charges which can hardly be avoided to some destination countries. If the non-delivery is caused by the fact the receiver refuses to pay duty/customs charges, we will not be able to pay any reimbursement. Please be fully aware of this if you choose this shipping method.

* Delivery times are an estimate only. Delivery time does not include any time parcels may spend in the destination countries customs service.

Note:
If your order contains one or more extra-large items which are over 105cm in length (e.g., some 1/200 battleship model kits) or the girth of the parcel exceeds 140cm, we may have to contact you to pay an extra shipping cost. This is when Australia Post cannot handle the shipment and we have to use a courier service like UPS for delivery. However, please be assured that we always cover over 50% of such extra cost and only charge you the amount as minimal as possible.

  

Packaging

All sold items are well packed in hard-wearing carton box with any necessary buffering materials. We use a combination of paper tape and plastic tape to ensure each parcel stays well-sealed in transit. Please see the below photo of our sample parcel box.

Delivery Problems

We inspect each order prior to packing to ensure each item reaches you correct and in good condition. However, if any mistakes or problems have been found on delivery, please contact us and we will solve it for you immediately and any extra postage will be covered at our end.

If your order does not arrive in the estimated time frame, please do not worry, contact us and we will assist you as soon as possible.

NOTE: If a package is returned or lost due to an incorrect address that has been provided, additional charges for the re-delivery will apply.
